Only Mario and Luigi really know
This is an old question that children ask their parents when a cherished pet has reached the point it needs to, “return to the sea.” For most of us, the answer we can give is down the drain, but often most of us have no idea what the drain looks like after the big flush. Well…if you have been following along on our Insta or Facebook you will know that we very much know what the inside, outside, and trench it is in looks like for our drains at the house. We took possession of the property in October of 2022 and were aware of a small “leak” in the plumbing system that we had scheduled time to fix once we owned the house. Well, low and behold, we found out it was an all-out catastrophe of damage that existed with our plumbing. This lead us to single-handedly (double hands really) dig up the entire system from the main house to our gîte and we replaced probably about 90% of the sewage lines, as well as probably about 80% of the rain gutter pipes. So, we can now say with certainty that Goldie, your pet fish, can make it quite safely to the “ocean” if they were to take our plumbing system to get there.
We all tell ourselves that when we sent things down the drain they have left our lives for good.
That critical thought is quite dependent on the skills and abilities of those whom installed your plumbing.
Case in poing:
As we searched for what we thought was a small leak in the evacuation plumbing of the main house lead to us soon finding that leak and small where not going to be a part of the equation.
PVC is our friend
Eventually we found that the entirety of the system was broken. You will see in the gallery of pictures below that we ended up digging up the entire pipe system to make sure everything was in working order
To the right is just the beginning of the catastrophe we unearthed
Hope you will follow along with more posts and if you would like to subsribe please do so.
